8-Bit Calculator in Logisim

Professor Chat is one of my favorite figures in university. His assignments are very unique in the sense that just enough hints are given to allow me to find resources online to build on top of that knowledge to solve the problem. The hints are certainly not enough on their own. That gave me a very unique experience where I had to go look up some strange assignment instructions and hints from an Australian University in an attempt to figure this out. It was very scary, like I’m trapped in a dark room not knowing what to do to escape. But once I gathered enough materials, things started clicking and it was like I found the switch to the light bulb in that dark room. Everything is crystal clear after that and it reminds me of the game Minecraft where I obsess over redstone as a kid. It was the most fun I’ve ever had in completing any assignments.

After I was done I created and narrated a video to help my peers in completing it. I published it on YouTube because to my surprise, there weren’t that many people who cover the process of designing an 8-Bit Calculator using this strange Logisim Software. I thought that with the world being so large and with YouTube having an unimaginable number of videos uploaded daily, every conceivable video must have already been made. But hey, it looks like that was not the case. To you, whoever is reading this. I am looking forward to seeing your creations be made. I now believe that there is always room for content that is made by an individual like you and me.
